Mick and Lou duo on James Cotton's "One More Mile".. included on this compilation of British blues masters, "Knights of the Blues Table". The album features tracks from Jack Bruce, Georgie Fame, Mick Jagger and Peter Green, plus many other great players, all freshly recorded in 1996 at the Church Studio in London. Produced by Cream songwriter Pete Brown as a tribute to the legendary British blues harmonica player Cyril Davis, and originally released on the American label "Viceroy".
Produced by Mike Vernon for Bedrock Records, "Unamerican Blues Activities" features two tracks by Mick - an original "Mean to Me" and a new version of the Junior Parker song "These Kind of Blues". The band features Kerry Canfield on keyboards, Mike Hirsh drums and Mick Phillips on bass. The album also features the Balham Alligators, Blues'n'Trouble and many other excellent British blues artists. Released only on vinyl.
KILLING FLOOR
Mick's first band KILLING FLOOR was a part of the British "Blues Boom" in the late sixties which created bands like Free and Led Zeppelin. Full details of their two albums, both still available, can be found here.

SALT
SALT was an excellent hard rock-blues band which was a big hit on the London scene in the seventies. It featured MICK on guitar with STEVIE SMITH on vocals and harp, STUART MACDONALD (Killing Floor) on bass and SLASH on drums.
The four track E.P. "All Wired Up" was released in 1978 on Raw Records but has since been deleted. Tracks were:
